Ants On A Log

“Rabble rousing through silliness.”

-Kathy O’Connell, Host of WXPN’s Kids Corner

“The Ants pull off the impossible: kids’ music that is smart, challenging and fun, political but not preachy, catchy and appealing to adults.”

-Rodney Whittenberg, Emmy-award winning producer at Melodyvision

“An accessible and fun way for children of all ages and adults to engage in important environmental issues, such as air quality, asthma, fighting a gas plant in your neighborhood, and dealing with elected officials. All of these issues are extremely relevant… and for the central character to be a young female is additionally inspiring for children!”

-Pratima Agrawal, Organizer, Philadelphia Ready for 100 Campaign of the Sierra Club

Ants on a Log is Julie Beth and Anya Rose. The folk duo writes music for children and other childlike people, songfully advocating for positivity, social justice, and silliness. Ants concerts are full surprising and joyful moments, interactive singing, jump roping, drumming, and improv. Audiences of all ages will delight as everyday household objects become percussion instruments.

In their off-stage lives, Julie is a music therapist and Anya is an elementary science teacher. Their powers combined make for smart and socially conscious folk full of harmony and humor. Their clever lyrics and rhythmic play are a delight for children (and grown children!) of all ages.
